DESCRIPTION:This month\, UMC Summit is joining communities around the\ncoun
try in collecting new socks for neighbors experiencing\nhomelessness. It s
ounds incredibly simple because it is!\nSocks are among the basic necessit
ies that can make a real\ndifference for someone living without stable hou
sing\,\nespecially as colder weather approaches. Pick up a package\n(or tw
o!) of new\, unused socks for adults or children and\nbring them to church
anytime during October. Look for\nour Socktober collection in the Social
Hall and add your\ncontribution. Our goal isn't just to collect socks. It'
s to remind\nourselves that acts of compassion don't have to be\ncomplicat
ed or enormous. Sometimes loving our neighbor\nstarts with something as si
mple as a pair of socks. Let’s see\nhow many pairs UMC Summit can collec
 t by the end of\nOctober!
